WIP shots of Mindfang for Anime North this weekend, we (myself and Redglare) had some fun taking these shots in our fancy (WIP) Victorian living room. Horns are almost finished and contacts will be bought (not to worry we WILL be doing full makeup too). We hope to see you all there!

Becca is going to make such an awesome Mindfang when this is all together! also a little note we are working off of a combination of a popular fan drawn Mindfang outfit!

My absolute favourite cat ever. This is a manul, or pallas cat. Found in the Afghan mountains, they’re one of the oldest pure-blood cousins of our own goggies.

Nyoooooo~~~

I NEED THIS ON MY DASH TO LIIIIIVE.

OH MY LORD

((That last one. Wtf. XD

It’s just ball of fat with a face. XD))

Haha, sometimes my cat reminds me of these guys.

What is this I see?  A genderbent version of superheroes that doesn’t include overtly sexual poses and drastically reduced amounts of clothing, particularly for characters who are not characterized in such a way?

Holy wow Thor though

I reblogged this months ago and it’s still perfect

Iron women come to me

I think I just became a lesbian.

all of it

PERFECTION

Mmm, hello ladies.
Am I in a minority, though, that I think Natasha Stark (I’m just going to use the name from the alt. universe where she’s a woman) would have longer hair? I mean, it wouldn’t be an enormous hassle to have it put up inside her helmet, she’d have it up a lot of the time anyway so it wouldn’t get in her way when she engineers things, but… I see her keeping it long-ish in spite of the impracticality because where Tony Stark is this polished, well-dressed, and frequently flirtatious man, I imagine she’s just as boss and sexified— and short hair can certainly be sexy!— But I see it as a combination ‘social armor’ (when not being Iron Woman, she can do this long hair, put on makeup, dress nice, no one suspects a thing, careful control of image) and stubbornness— yes, life would be easier if she wasn’t tying her hair back to work on engines, yes, life would be easier if she didn’t have to stuff it into a hairnet to suit up, but screw ‘easy’, Natasha Stark does what she wants!

Regardless, I really like this picture, a lot. The attitude and eyebrow raise is perfect, and I love how the armor is not sexualized, but still has a feminine line— style, yes, but not in any unstructurally sound way. Enough so that you know it’s a woman kicking your ass, enough to flatter, but nothing ridiculous, and nothing that makes it feel like a robo T&A show.

And I love how basically the same Captain America’s uniform is, but with that hair— I see her with victory rolls sometimes, but no fancy hairstylin’ when there’s evil to fight, it’ll just get messed up. But like for meeting the press, that kind of thing.

And a ValkyrieThor? Thora? Anyway, badass. Huge muscles, strong features, but there’s enough femininity that it doesn’t fall into that ‘she’s strong because she’s manly’ trap. She’s strong because she’s a goddess with a magic hammer and a lifetime of training in the field of kicking all the asses.
